Venerable Tenzin Namdag is an Australian Buddhist nun trained in the Tibetan tradition of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. She has travelled widely and taught Buddhism in Australia and overseas. She has a grown family, and prior to ordination had a successful business career.
Her interest in Buddhism began in 1970 when she studied Ikebana, flower arrangement in Zen Buddhism. Following a trip to England she developed an interest in Tibetan Buddhism, which led to ordination and further studies in Nepal and India.
After a short time at Chenrezig Institute in South-east Queensland she moved to California as Director of the Land Of Medicine Buddha Centre at Santa Cruz. In the US she ran many courses relating to peace and happiness, and worked with many inspiring spiritual teachers.
